Smith to substantially develop their Oilskin Reproofer to achieve a result that significantly improves the treated oilskin's resistance to water penetration. Testing also indicated that a better result was achieved if oilskin fabric was reproofed on a regular basis - rather than waiting until it had severely reduced resistance to water penetration. (Basically we're suggesting that you treat your oilskin gear at the end of the wet season, then you'll be prepared for next year's wet season - rather than realizing you should have done it when the rains come again!)
