EquineCare Probiotic is a topical spray for minor bacterial and fungal skin conditions caused by mud fever and rain scald. The spray aids treatment by introducing billions of beneficial microbes that outcompete the pathogens causing the condition. It needs to be sprayed daily (if possible) until the infection is cleared. There are many variables on how long this can take but mud fever is usually 3-4 days to 3-4 weeks and rain scald and thrush within a week or two. The 500 ml bottle is recommended for small areas of rain scald or thrush and the 1 litre for treating larger areas or more than one animal.
